AV safety label protects the text-side of the disc from scratches.
Laminated special label with 2 layers with print in-between, preventing print removal.
On optical discs like CD, CD-ROM, CD-R (audio books) and Playstation 1, the information layer is atop the polycarbonate (the transparent plastic disc), only protected by a very thin layer of lacquer and silk screen printing.
If the text-side of the disc is scratched, the information layer will disappear and cannot be restored.
When using Sund Sound AV safety labels, the discs are protected from scratches in the information layer.
